Local Loki Management Systems wins prestigious Microsoft Partner software innovation award
December 13, 2004, Vancouver, British Columbia: Loki Management Systems, a Delta, B.C.-based software company, has been awarded the 2004 Microsoft Partner Program IMPACT Award for its innovative workforce management software solutions. More than 300 entries were submitted from technology companies across Canada.
Microsoft Partner Awards acknowledge the outstanding work that resellers, independent software providers and solution providers are doing with Microsoft-based technologies and products to deliver virtually seamless solutions for their customers.
For Loki Management Systems, this award marks yet another achievement in a year of remarkable success and exponential growth. “Our revenue has doubled over the last year and we expect it to double again in 2005,” says Richard Swann, President of Loki Management Systems.
Recent new clients for Loki include U.S. telecommunications giant Verizon, as well as Vancouver Coastal Health and B.C.’s Provincial Health Services Authority. The latter organizations had used Loki software on a small scale and were so pleased with the cost savings and efficiencies that they opted to expand the implementation. “Our software helps companies manage their staff more effectively, while saving one to two per cent of overall staff costs,” explains Loki president Richard Swann.
Vancouver Coastal Health originally contracted a software solution for 3,000 employees and is scheduled to add another 14,000 employees into the system by July 2005. Similarly, the Provincial Health Services Authority’s original implementation for 2,000 employees was expanded to include an additional 5,000 employees throughout B.C.
“We are also working closely with Microsoft to integrate our software with their business solution offerings and to expand our reach into other vertical markets,” adds Swann.
Loki’s software targets companies with hourly wage employees. There are 100 million hourly employees in the U.S. alone, which means enormous growth potential for Loki.
In addition to relationships within the Canadian health care market and with Great Canadian Casinos, Loki is pursuing new markets south of the border. U.S. telco leader Verizon Communications Ltd. recently selected Loki to schedule and manage 1,000 of its field technicians in Maryland and New Jersey. After the implementation goes live in January, there is the potential to roll out the service to another 40,000 field technicians throughout the United States.
